Journalist and Photographer
ABOUT ME
I am currently a junior at The University of Alabama seeking my undergraduate degree in journalism. My major is News Media with a concentration in sports and my minor is in food and nutrition. I am also planning on seeking my masters in Sports Management and Marketing. I would love to go into sports broadcasting one day or to work for an athletic department as part of Student Athlete Enhancement.
I have been a photographer for over 6 years. I began as a photographer for my high school football team and my passion grew from there. I am now the marketing, media, and photography assistant for the Career Center at the university.
I have been writing for most of my life but I began writing around April of 2018 for The Odyssey Online. Where I publish weekly articles about numerous topics and have accumulated over 32,000 views.
I am also an intern for WVUA 23, the universities on campus local news station where I mostly do editing and reporting. I am expected to begin sports training with WVUA in the fall.
I also work with the Student Athlete Enhancement team in The University of Alabama Athletics Department. I help coordinate different events while also help to plan events and help advertise them and encourage athletes to attend.
